Presented at the AGU Fall Meeting in San Francisco this December https://www.agu.org/.
I talked about the role of artists in offering different narratives for waste plastics under the Science, Artists and the Earth: Co-operating for the Planet section of the conference.
Another highlight was a visit to Recology https://www.recology.com/recology-san-francisco/artist-in-residence-program/. A waste facility that offers residencies for local artists to have access to the waste stream for a four-month period, culminating in an exhibition.
CIT Crawford College of Art https://crawford.cit.ie/ and Cork City Council Twinning Dept https://www.corkcity.ie/en/council-services/councillors-and-democracy/twinning/twinning.html offered encouragement, support and sponsorship for this opportunity, thank you.
